GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAY IN WALES This is a day long gorge walk - our most popular activity. Part scramble, part paddle, part climb - this gorge walking day has it all, even big pool jumps at the end of the day. GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAY DETAILS GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAY DESCRIPTION BRECON BEACONS CARDIFF SWANSEA This classic adventure day will have you talking about your gorge experience for a long time to come. At the start of the gorge walk we kit up and spend the morning rock hopping and undertaking personal challenges such as traversing walls above the river. After lunch and with your newly learnt skills we climb waterfalls, swim across pools, crawl on ledges under a waterfall and finally jump into deep pools. Our jumps are very safe with no ledges to fall onto and they range from 8 feet to 20 feet high. We are the only group to dive the pools and have produced a document detailing safe use of the river for gorge walking and canyoning activities. We work to an industry leading staff:client ratio of 1:8 and are the only group of providers to ensure that you have wellington or walking boots for this activity - trainers are just not safe enough. We bring to the day all necessary safety equipment, bouyancy and a canoe helmet. Between October and April we provide full body top quality wetsuits. Between April and September we tend not to supply wetsuits. We will make a decision about this after discussion with you and the prevailing air temperature. WHO CAN TAKE PART? We can accommodate most levels of ability and have worked with all ages although any child under 7 years old should be accompanied by a parent or guardian. LOCATION OF GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAYS Pontneddfechan, Near Glyneath. We do have a Mid Wales location for those of you located North of Brecon. DURATION OF GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAYS The standard day is 10am - 4pm but we can start earlier or finish later. Just let us know your requirements for the day. OPERATING PERIOD OF GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING DAYS January 1st - December 31st GORGE WALK WALKING SCRAMBLING SESSION KIT LIST We provide all adventure kit for the day but you will need a packed lunch, warm clothing and waterproof jacket. CAN I COMBINE THIS WITH ANY OTHER ACTIVITIES? This is a full advenure gorge walk walking scrambling day so no need to combine with another activity. Saying this though, why not combine this with a second day out on the hill or perhaps Mountain Biking. Saying this, we can run this as a half day and so there is the possibility of having two half day activities arranged. CAN I USE A CAMERA / CAMCORDER Yes. There are good opportunites to film the sessions but we are not to be held responsible for any damaged cameras.
